summary
Ilia trained two custom LoRA models using the same library of 77 photographs but different labels. One used my original photograph labels; the other used revised labels following his “good positive prompt” structure. My three positive prompt versions were then used to test the FLUX.1-dev base model and the custom models. Ilia supplied outputs from 100, 300, 500, 700, 1000 and 1200 training steps, alongside the base outputs.
To examine AI bias, I removed references to body size and age from the training labels, while specifying diverse ages, skin tones, body sizes and shapes in each prompt version. Selected words and phrases were repeated across the three versions to test how the models interpreted a changing sequence of movement and composition.
The prompt sequence moved through sky or space; falling or tumbling; floating or submerged; and an expanse of water or burning lake. The photograph labels connected visual descriptions with extracts from Paradise Lost. The lower-case trigger word prdlst was used for both LoRA training and image generation.
The outputs showed limited diversity and stereotypical portrayals across age, gender and minority groups, despite the diversity specified in the prompts. The base model’s training data and internal influences are not fully known, so these results cannot be attributed to a single cause. The trigger-word discrepancy adds further uncertainty.
My selection of the displayed outputs forms part of my authorship. I compared how the base model and two custom LoRAs responded at different training steps, then chose examples that best revealed recurring patterns, anomalies and limits.
